Pedalling for a Purpose: Thank You, National Bank Grand Tour

We are excited to share that Beat the Streets has been selected as a beneficiary of the National Bank Grand Tour 2025, receiving a generous $12,000 donation in support of our youth programs in the Greater Toronto Area.

More than a sporting challenge

The NB Grand Tour isn’t just a cycling and running event; it’s a movement of solidarity. Each year, National Bank employees, retirees, and volunteers undertake this flagship challenge to raise funds for organisations that make a positive impact in the lives of young people. This year, nearly 300 participants came together in Toronto to ride, run, and give back.

Their dedication is inspiring: training, fundraising, and rallying their networks not only to push themselves physically, but to ensure youth have the resources, programs, and opportunities they deserve.

Why it matters

At Beat the Streets, we believe recreation and sport are potent tools for youth development. This donation will enable us to expand our after-school and recreational programs for low-income youth throughout the city, creating safe spaces where young people can connect, grow, and build confidence.

As National Bank leaders have said, the Grand Tour is more than a fundraising event; it’s a way to invest in tomorrow’s society by supporting preventive mental health and youth wellbeing today. We couldn’t agree more.

Our gratitude

We are deeply grateful to everyone who makes the Grand Tour possible — from the riders and runners to the organizers, sponsors, and donors. Your efforts demonstrate to young people that their communities care about them and that they are worth investing in.

On behalf of our staff, coaches, and the young people we serve, thank you for pedalling and running for a purpose.
